Hello Folks,
My name is Capt. Dale Fields. I am a Florida native, born and raised in Tampa. I have fished the waters in and around Tampa Bay, for over 40 years. At a young age, I had a great love for the water and the excitement of going fishing, and that excitement is what lead me to become a guide. I’m a retired City of Tampa Firefighter, and I have been a licensed guide for over 15 years.
The areas we fish include all of Tampa Bay and the nearshore/inshore (within sight of land) waters from St. Petersburg to New Port Richey.
The species of fish most common to the nearshore/inshore areas include: Snook, Speckled or Spotted Sea Trout, Redfish, Cobia, Spanish Mackeral, Tarpon, small Sharks, Jack Cravelle, and others. That is why saltwater fishing is so much fun, you never know what is going to be at the end of your line!
No experience is necessary, novice anglers are welcome. I enjoy educating anglers on the most productive local fishing techniques, to help you learn to cast, how to properly fight and land the fish, and I will do everything possible to make sure that you have an enjoyable experience on the water.
I am a licensed and insured Coast Guard Captain, and a member of the Florida Guides Association and the Coastal Conservation Association (see “Affiliations” link).
